On Carbon Beach, La Costa, and the western Point Dume bluff homes, the studio's default specification is a single-layer performance sheer in Belgian linen on a recessed ceiling-mounted ripple-fold track. Hardware is marine-grade or concealed; nothing exposed to salt air is specified without a finish warranty.

Sleep on the Malibu coast is a UV and light-leak problem before it is an aesthetic one. The studio specifies a three-layer assembly — performance sheer for daytime softness, motorized solar shade for heat and UV, and a true three-pass blackout panel with side channels and a hand-finished hem — coordinated on one Lutron or Crestron scene. The homeowner experiences one button; the workroom delivers the engineering.
Canyon Estates Above PCH
Encinal Canyon, Latigo Canyon, and Decker Canyon estates sit in Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones. The studio specifies inherently fire-retardant (NFPA 701) face fabric, IFR linings, and hardware finishes that survive the canyon's marine-influenced temperature swing.
