Beverly Hills Luxury Retail Flagship
This project is a conceptual design study created to explore custom window treatment solutions, fabric applications, motorization systems, and architectural integration. Images are illustrative renderings and do not represent a completed installation.

Retail Drapery for Display and Brand Atmosphere — a design project in Beverly Hills, CA. The studio's specification practice in design intent, fabric, hardware, fullness, and installation, written from Olga's perspective.
A flagship retail interior with theatrical product displays requiring controlled lighting, sound dampening for private appointments, and a residential atmosphere atypical of luxury retail. Commercial FR code applies.
Inherent-FR silk-look velvet drapery framing each product alcove and full-wall acoustic drapery in the private appointment room. The drapery does three jobs: blocks display-window glare, controls store acoustics, and reads as the residential luxury the brand markets.
Inherent FR velvet in the brand's signature charcoal, 24 oz./yd. The fabric is the brand's primary atmospheric element; weight and color were specified by the brand's creative director to the cloth, not the cloth to the room.
Hand-forged blackened brass rods in the alcoves (exposed as design element), concealed motorized track in the appointment room. Lutron Athena control on the appointment room track.
Alcove drapery fixed open with custom-built blackened brass tiebacks; only the appointment-room drapery functions daily. Fullness at 3x for visual depth in the alcoves; 2.5x in the appointment room where the drapery is operated.
The retail interior reads as residential luxury — the brand's exact positioning. My recommendation for luxury retail: drapery is brand material before it is window treatment. Specify it the way you would specify a brand-defining finish.
