How to Choose Lining

Lining is the unseen layer that decides whether a drapery panel hangs as designer or hangs as a curtain.

Lining is the discipline behind every drapery panel that hangs correctly. The studio specifies lining and interlining as default on every primary-room project we accept.

Standard cotton sateen lining

The studio's default lining. Protects face from UV, gives back-of-panel uniformity, holds shape over time.

Three-pass blackout

For bedrooms, nurseries, and media rooms. Fully opaque, sewn-in, paired with side channels for true blackout.

Interlining

The middle layer that gives the panel its weight, body, and fall. Acoustic and thermal performance both improve.
