A portfolio project documenting a window-treatment approach in Reseda, CA. A studio reference in design intent, material specification, and architectural reasoning.
A newly renovated great room with 11-foot ceilings and standard-height window openings. The client requested drapery mounted only above the window — a cost-saving choice that would have left the room visually compressed and the renovation unfinished.
We recommended ceiling-to-floor French pleat drapery in a warm oat linen, ceiling-mounted on a concealed track spanning the full wall. The change required almost no incremental fabric and dramatically altered the perceived height of the room.
Warm oat-toned 100% Belgian linen, interlined for weight and to protect the face from sun heat.
Concealed ceiling track, full-wall span, hand-drawn with leading-edge return panels.
Track installed directly to ceiling joists. Panels hand-tacked at the studio and re-pleated on site for consistent fold rhythm across the full span.
The room reads as roughly two feet taller than it measures. The client describes the change as the single most transformative decision of their renovation.
