What Happens During Drapery Installation

A walkthrough of installation day — hardware, panels, dressing, and commissioning.

Installation is the most consequential day in the drapery program. The studio's installers are dedicated specialists, and the room reads finished by the time we leave.

Hardware first

Anchors set into stud or blocking; level checked across the wall; track or rod squared and aligned.

Panels hung

Panels carried in protective wrap; hems checked; lining alignment confirmed; pleats trained.

Final dressing

Pleats tied for the first 48 hours; returns adjusted; hems weighted; the room left finished.

Commissioning

Motorized installations programmed with the home's integrator, tested in every scene, before the team leaves.
