How to Choose Drapery Hardware

Hardware is where the drapery meets the architecture — and where most builder-grade programs fail first.

Hardware decides how the drapery enters the room before the panel does. The studio specifies hand-forged iron, unlacquered brass, hand-turned wood, and concealed ceiling track — chosen to read with the architecture.

Traditional and transitional rooms

Hand-forged iron, unlacquered brass, hand-turned wood. Visible and decorative.

Contemporary rooms

Concealed ceiling track. The drapery reads as architecture, not as decoration.

What to avoid

Plated and lacquered finishes age poorly. Stock rod-pocket and grommet hardware reads as builder-grade from day one.
